[Though not usually given to taking risks out of curiosity, Golbez decided to try touching one of the strange glowing disks he's recently seen around the village.

This proved a very bad idea, and after a very short race around the village, he crashed and found himself hurled into a bench, upside down and very, very confused.

He is now in the midst of picking himself up.] That was extremely odd.

[Having been caught in the race himself, Saleh isn't certain whether people are actually getting injured from it. So when he sees Golbez crashing, he jogs over to where he picks himself up, stopping a few feet away. He certainly agrees with Golbez's comment.]

[Golbez rises fairly easily, any real problems being caused by his armor. He regards Saleh once he's fully up and gives a polite nod of his head.]

I don't seem to be damaged. Your concern is appreciated, however.

In truth, I was caught in that same contraption myself. I crashed rather violently, and yet found myself with no physical injury. It was indeed most peculiar.

[...Um. Heart, who wanders around sometimes, happens to take not of a person who landed through on a bench upside down. In fact, it's hard not to. While she's not in a mode (and doesn't know this person so therefore cannot talk or anything) she does, ... well she stares somewhat curiously with a bland expression]

[Golbez hauls himself to his feet in fairly short order, which is pretty impressive for a guy in full plate. He regards the bench for a moment before turning to her.]

Good afternoon. I hope you weren't planning to use that.

Come up that he's not human. Seriously no one thought about a full suit of armor in her century man. Thus, her voice just continues with a bland-] I wasn't.

Good... [He continues, half to himself.] It will probably be self repaired before days end, but I still wonder if I should attempt to fix it.

[He regards the broken bench for a moment before turning back to her.] Well, no matter for now. I am Golbez, miss.

[He's hauled himself to his feet in rather short order, giving a glance to the destroyed bench before turning to Rydia.]

I'm not injured. That bench will be quite unusable for some time though.

Better it than you. I won't pretend to understand the appeal of those rides, though, especially since I haven't heard of anyone not crashing.

After seeing people crash left and right, that killed my curiosity. I've had enough weirdness without adding that as well. Of course, some people just can't get enough....

[Kain watches and then smirks on seeing that Golbez can't seem to finish a race without crashing either. He writes something up and approaches.]

[Golbez doesn't respond until he's straightened up, but when he turns and notices the note, one can hear the incredulity in his voice.]

Are you implying you can do better, Kain?

[He gestures at another nearby disc and says, dryly.] Then by all means, please demonstrate.

[Kain makes another expression as if to say 'This won't even be a challenge.' His overconfidence shows in his stance as he gets to the disc. Then, he picks it up... aaaaand he's off!]

That was curious. What exactly just happened?

It is most peculiar... [Golbez is on his feet fairly quickly, glancing at the bench and then back at Val.] There was a floating disc that promptly transformed into a bright one-person vehicle when I touched it. As soon as it shifted forms, I was somehow riding it, and it was quite out of control. I could not seem to find a way to slow it down, and, well, the result was inevitable.

Well, fortunately nobody was hurt. Surely, you're not, father?

None. It's clear this is an experiment, but even so the effects are... quite random.

No injuries on my part. The bench appears to be the worst casualty.
