36th Crystal: [Voice]

[He's been thinking he'd have to make this announcement ever since his uncle's familiar, comforting presence simply... vanished, overnight. Golbez is fairly certain he knows why this was, but he had to be entirely certain, and so he's been spending the day moving throughout the village and even out towards the mountains, as far as he figures he'd have to go to feel some trace of Fusoya's presence.

Of course, he sensed nothing. As he returns back to his apartment and flops down in his chair, feeling drained, tired, and generally apathetic, he flips open his journal to make a brief statement.]

For those of you familiar with Fusoya... I regret to inform you that he is no longer in Luceti with us.

[He tries for a couple moments to add something else, but nothing comes. He's just no good at this sort of thing. He just sighs and shuts the book, now only waiting for whoever might respond.

It only now occurs to him that he could have just messaged Fusoya's journal and gotten to the same conclusion. He chuckles bitterly at himself for forgetting this. Ah, hindsight.]

[It's hard for Grune to sort out her feelings about that news. While most of her memories of the life she'd thought she had in Baron have faded, there's still some lingering fondness from that time, and from that week in Luceti when she had practically lived at House 9.

But of course, the important part is looking after everyone who did have memories with him--like Theodore.]

I'm sorry he's gone away for a while. Would you like some company?

[Voice]

[Because she hadn't wanted to make that announcement herself. Of course she found his room empty and knew what that meant.]

...can I come over?

[The empty room was also a pretty big clue. As is Cecil's slightly flat tone.]

You'll see him again soon enough. Do not worry.

[Grune. So many mixed feelings on hearing her voice... And even more so at her question. He ponders it for a moment before answering.]

I won't be home most of the day. If you want to meet me at the lake, that would be fine.

[Voice]

[He manages a small, wan smile.]

My door's always open to you, Rydia.

[voice]

[cladinthedark]

[He sighs deeply.] I know, but... I feel the loss keenly, nonetheless.

... What of you, Cecil?

[voice]

[paladinlost]

I'm well enough, all things considered.

[The loss hurts him less than Ceodore's did, at least.]

I was more worried for your sake.

[Voice]

[She echoes that particular smile.]

Good to know. I'll stop in soon, then.

[Voice]

Oh, a trip to the lake sounds very nice. Would you like me to bring something to eat?

[A picnic would cheer him up, wouldn't it?]

[Voice/Action]

I'll remain until you arrive.

[He was going to go meditate by the lake, but seeing her is more important. He settles back and just closes his eyes, trying to clear his mind and not think too hard as he waits.]

I will survive. It is a blow, but I will move past it.

[Voice]

I-

[He's interrupted by a growl from his stomach. Oh, that's right, he missed breakfast didn't he?]

... That would be appreciated.

[Voice]

[That gets a bit of a giggle from her.]

Do you have anything you really like?

[Action]

[After a little while, there's a knock on his door.]

That's my brother. Taking everything the world throws at us and surviving.

[He sounds terribly proud and sad about it.]

[Voice]

Not in particular. So long as the meal is balanced I will eat largely anything.

[Action]

[It opens right up for her and Golbez stands aside to let her in.]

Hello, Rydia. Please, come in.

[voice]

Well, after all, what else can I do? My only other option is... not one I'd like to consider.

[Action]

Hello, Golbez.

[Rydia does just that, of course, but remains standing.]

Do you want to go for a walk, or would you rather just stay here?

[Spending time in his company is the important thing; she doesn't really care how it's done, as long as he's comfortable.]

[She always does seem to know what he needs. He looks out the window.]

I was planning on going down to the lake for a time. It always seems to help, somehow. Would you like to accompany me there?

[Action]

[She nods, a small smile forming.]

I wouldn't have asked, otherwise. That sounds just fine to me.

[Exiting again, she waits for him before starting off.]

...besides, it helps me too. I always come back a little more tranquil.

You'd better not. You still have much to do. We all do.

[Voice]

All right. I'll put together something nice so you can feel better.

[She goes to close the journal. If you have anything else to say, Golbez, better make it quick.]

[Fusoya actually was one of the more calming influences around the house, someone Kain surprisingly never had a problem with.]

[Nothing more than that. He's got a few other people to talk to, which he figures will take about as long as her making a decent meal, so once he's done with the other conversations he figures it's the perfect time to head down to the lake. He hopes to still get there before her, as he'd hate to make her wait after inviting her, so he hastens his steps a bit more than usual.

She'll find him looking contemplatively out at the lake, legs crossed, hands on his knees. It'd look peaceful if it weren't for the all-too-serious expression on his face.]
